Women empowerment is the important factor for the uniform growth of a nation. The women make up half of the world population, their participation in various activities is not the same as men’s even today. Without the participation of women in the development process, society as a whole cannot be said to develop sufficiently. The study was conducted to determine how the women’s labor participation on the Small-scale and cottage industries (SSCI) affecting the empowerment and strategies of rural women through income generating activities, also how it effects their role in decision making in their households. Total 495 respondents out of 800 were selected from 13 Blocks of Jaipur District and they were interviewed. Empowerment index has been developed to measure the level of Empowerment of Women. It has been found out that the sample of female labour respondents under research had an average Empowerment Index of 76.5%. Women's education and age have been discovered to have a significant impact on the decision-making role of women. It has been also found that, Women's decision-making is influenced by economic elements such monthly income, education, household decisions, savings, employment status, home size, and credit availability.
