A comparative analysis of internet addiction among college and university students: A gender-based study

Abstract:
This study, conducted in various universities and colleges of the Kashmir division in 2018, aimed to compare internet addiction levels between male and female students. The findings revealed that male students exhibited a higher degree of internet addiction than their female counterparts. Specifically, 12.5% of postgraduate (PG) male students, 7.5% of PG female students, 22.5% of undergraduate (UG) male students, and 12.5% of UG female students were classified as severely addicted to the internet.
