STEM is a new global educational model that integrates various subjects and skills to help students develop and adapt well. This study aims to examine the awareness of STEM education and the current implementation of STEM in physical education (PE) teaching. It evaluates the application of STEM by PE teachers and identifies the challenges they face at the primary school level. The results show that most PE teachers are fully aware of STEM education and its role in renewing general education. However, practical implementation is still limited and faces many challenges due to teachers’ difficulties in applying STEM. The survey results serve as a practical basis for educational institutions to propose measures to improve STEM teaching in terms of content, methods, formats, and teaching conditions.
