Abstract:
This study evaluated the impact of web-based learning modules in basic electronics on university students' self-directed learning readiness. A quasi-experimental design was utilized for the study. An adopted evaluation instrument for SDLR was used in the data gathering. Percentage Frequency distribution was used to analyze the level of SDLR of the university students. While Mann-Whitney U test, a non-parametric statistic, was used to analyze the difference of SDLR between the control and experimental groups. Findings revealed that there is no significant difference of SDLR between the control group and the experimental group when exposed to the web-based learning module. In view of the findings, it is recommended that a blended learning approach is needed to leverage the SDLR of the university students.
